Thank you for visiting. I'm an author of Romance, Paranormal Tales and Science Fiction. I've completed a couple of short stories aimed for magazines: (novelette/short). And this eccentric brain of mine is always taking off, bringing vivid videos of untold stories into focus; where strange faces & compelling voices always seem to surface as a result. I enjoy writing and look forward to sharing my adventure here with you as it plays itself out. I also aim to inspire & at times entertain ;) I will be sharing some helpful links to different writing contests, resources, etc. as well. The blog is a work in progress, stop by often to see what's new! Again, welcome.

Time Never Waits For a Single Soul ~ By K. M. Romano COPYRIGHT © 2013 By Katelina M. Romano

“Time is an equal opportunity employer. Each human being has exactly the same number of hours and minutes every day. Rich people can't buy more hours. Scientists can't invent new minutes. And you can't save time to spend it on another day. Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving. No matter how much time you've wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow.”
  ~Denis Waitley

Time:  (Merriam-Webster)
a : the measured or measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues : duration
b : a nonspatial continuum that is measured in terms of events which succeed one another from past through present to future [Of course there were many more definitions, but let's stick to the basics for the purpose of this post ;) ]

Time.  I have always experienced great difficulty when trying to wrap my brain around the concept of time and space.  In particular-when it's discussed in scientific journals or academic reports.  But by what grand scale can we truly pretend to distinguish or attempt to understand this infinite universe; a universe that we ourselves exist-the equivalent of a proton-in the vastness of space.  A universe that is ever changing, ever expanding and aging as well.

I once had a teacher tell me-(in fifth grade), that as we get older, time tends to go faster.  Where I didn't know what to think of it then, I see it now.  The years seem to have shifted to fast forward, barely giving me enough time in the day to do all I had set out to do.  Is time escaping us at a faster rate or are we perceiving it as such?  Headache material, noted.

On a personal note, time to me is seriously altered when I lose someone close or when I see the potential of someone ill-moving on...so close to death.  Only then, when someone in your heart is about to be ripped out-gone, so final, never again to see their face while on earth; well for me, time does seem to shift or altogether stand still, forcing me to assess the real limitations on time and at least, my space.

Currently, we are awaiting to see if my only living grandparent (grandmother), will pull through from a non-responsive state after a recent stroke a couple days ago.  I can't repeat enough how limited our time is here on earth.  Today is the day when we should all embrace, give thanks and show our love to those we deem family.  Those we love, friends and family alike.  There might not be a tomorrow, as death comes at times uninvited or with no such warning.  We seldom think of such time constraints, except when we are confronted with these types of events.  It's important that we take a moment in our busy lives to stop, breath in with appreciation and exhale in love-keeping in mind and calling out to those in our hearts that matter.

A grandparent.  One who is responsible for the plethora of love that surrounds us; siblings, aunts, parents and yes-even your children.  For if that grandparent never existed-you, your siblings, mother or father, etc...would never have existed.  Someone very important, who should receive all our respect and acknowledgement.  Love.

No.  The concept of time and space I may never comprehend with one hundred percent clarity, but we as humans understand with our hearts that life has a beginning and end.  We see and feel it especially at heart-breaking moments like these that alter our very reality, bringing the present to our busy minds-front and center.  And as such it is our duty to express love & gratitude to those that matter before it's too late.  Live life for today, always sharing your love and appreciation for those beautiful souls that have graced your life with their undying love & memorable presence.

I invite prayers for my grandmother; a God fearing, God loving woman who has always believed in Jesus Christ and is in great part a major reason why I'm alive.  She has started this tree of families and in my heart I believe God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit know her well.  So I humbly ask and welcome prayers for this beautiful soul whose wisdom & strength I've drawn upon, once upon a time.  Thank you for reading this special post and for your prayers alike.  God bless you all.
